Joseph Amodeo is a doctoral student in the Ed.D. in Education Policy, Organization, and Leadership program at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His research interests span human resource development and vocational rehabilitation, with a focus on promoting the inclusion and success of people with diverse abilities in the workforce. He also seeks to contribute to the knowledge and practice of improving post-secondary employment outcomes for youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Joseph brings extensive experience in the nonprofit sector, having worked for Quality Services for the Autism Community (QSAC) for 12 years. As the Director of Career Development and Communications, he oversees various programs and services that support vocational rehabilitation, adult education, and transition-age youth. He also leads the agency's communications efforts and provides strategic support for the development team aimed at developing innovative partnerships with private, philanthropic, and governmental stakeholders.

Joseph holds a Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University at Buffalo, a Master's in Public Administration from Marist College, as well as a Master of Arts in Political Science and a Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, from the University at Albany. He has earned several professional credentials, including Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), Certified Vocational Evaluation Specialist (CVE), and Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD).
